Tri-State Motor Transit Co., of Joplin, MO, is pleased to announce our small business Administration (SBA) approved mentor/protege agreement with JRI, Inc. of North Charleston, SC. This agreement fully supports the small business community.
Tri-State is a leading transporter for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, other government facilities, and numerous commercial shippers of hazardous and non-hazardous commodities.
JRI, Inc. is an 8(a) certified small disadvantaged, woman-owned business, providing transportation management, supply chain and warehousing management, in addition to program and administrative support worldwide.
The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved Tri-State Motor Transit Co. to act as mentor to enhance the development of its protege, JRI, Inc. SBA established the mentor/protege program to provide small disadvantaged businesses the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of large businesses. Tri-State will assist JRI in developing its company through technical, managerial, financial, and/or subcontracting assistance under the official SBA program.
The mentor/protege agreement also encourages the mentor and protege to team together to bid on small business contracts within the federal government to enhance the learning curve and development of the protege.
