Tri-State is growing again. Tri-State Motor Transit Co., an industry leader in the transportation of specialized materials for over seventy-five (75) years, continues to remain aggressive and in front of the evolving niche segments of today's specialized markets.

In April of this year (2008), Tri-State purchased Wilcox Truck Line, Inc. Wilcox Truck Line, Inc. operates fifty-five (55) power units, over forty (40) owned trailers, and several additional trailers owned by the postal services. Wilcox Truck Line, Inc. is a Missouri Based company holding numerous contracts to transport mail for the United States Postal Service throughout the midwestern regions of the United States. Wilcox Truck Line, Inc. has been transporting U.S. Mail for over forty (40) years. Tri-State has, for many years, assisted the United States Postal Service with specialized transportation needs. Tri-State looks forward to building on the strengths of both companies to move forward in additional markets with the United States Postal Services.

In February 2007, Tri-State purchased TAG Transport, a Tennessee based transporter specializing in radioactive materials and special cargo. This acquisition involved forty (40) power units and over sixty (60) trailers of various types. This purchase solidified Tri-State's position in a key Department of Energy market base and provided Tri-State the opportunity to establish a full service terminal and hub operations in Tennessee to further meet the needs of our customer base.

Tri-State Motor Transit Co. of Joplin, MO will continue to stay abreast of opportunities in markets where its specialized services compliment the customers and marketplace needs.
